In the basic four ball juggling pattern, you have two balls in the left hand, and two in the right. Keep in mind, the balls do not switch hands. Don't allow the two halves to move around too much.

You'll probably end up having difficulty with one hand or the other, the nice thing about four balls is you can then concentrate on the hand you're having difficulty with.
